Democratic National Convention Winning Ratings Race Against Repubicans

UPDATE: The numbers for Night 3 continue the trend of more viewers for the Democrats than Republicans.

According to Variety, early numbers indicate 24.03 million people tuned in to hear vice presidential nominee Tim Kaine and President Barack Obama address the convention. The equivalent night of the 2016 RNC drew 23.4 million pairs of eyeballs last week.

According to sources, Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump - not wanting to see his numbers beat - sent an e-mail to his supporters urging them not to watch Hillary Clinton deliver her nomination acceptance speech on the final night of the Democratic convention.
